Since 1971 this inhabitant of Bilbao has created several brands that are sold in his SMITH & SMITH stores in Bilbao and Las Arenas. These include the famous polo-shirts (Polo Smith, polo Bilbao, polo Athletic) and the Smith & Smith Touch brand. Since 2010 Julio has brought together quality and good price, under the Low Cost by Smith & Smith brand. He also designs a line of paddle rackets and accessories, as well as merchandising for other firms.
